Diablo 4 Season 11 has been hiding a secret from everyone: a new boss fight that is only accessible through a set of altars throughout Sanctuary. Dropping rewards that include a Resplendent Spark, this is something players will definitely want to do at some point!
Purified Essences and Altars In Diablo 4 Season 11
To activate the boss fight, players will need to bring a set of purified essences to the corresponding altars. For example, the Purified Horn of Duriel drops from both the lair boss Duriel encounter as well as the new helltide boss version of Duriel. This must be turned in to the Altar of Pain, located in Kehjistan. The full list of altars and their essences is as follows:
Altar of Pain
Located in Kehjistan to the northwest of the Deshar Waypoint. The Altar of Pain is where players can turn in the Purified Horn of Duriel.
Altar of Lies
Located in Fractured Peak to the east of the Bear Tribe Refuge Waypoint, the Altar of Lies is where players can turn in the Purified Eye of Belial.
Altar of Anguish
Located in Nahantu to the southwest of the Kurast Docks Waypoint, the Altar of Anguish is where players can turn in the Purified Claw of Andariel.
Altar of Sin
Located in Hawezar between Zarbinzet and the Ruins of Rakhat Keep, the Altar of Sins is where players can turn in the Purified Tongue of Azmodan.
Hidden Boss Fight and Rewards
After turning in the purified essences to all four altars, a portal will open, taking you to the special boss encounter with the lesser evils. Defeating them drops the following loot:
One Resplendent Spark
One Tribute of Ascendance
Various Assorted Runes
A large amount of Uniques
The Shield Crest of Exile mount trophy cosmetic
