Wowhead Architect Tool
We’re happy to announce our Wowhead Architect tool for Player Housing. This tool is currently in an Alpha state, and there are more features currently planned in the future. If you have any bugs, please let us know.
Features
You can use the Wowhead Architect tool to plan your house exactly how you want it, before making those changes in game. Don’t forget that there are a lot more decor items coming in Midnight as well, and you can preview how those decor items will look in your house using our tool so when Midnight launches, you can know exactly what decor items you need and can quickly replicate it.
There are many features currently available in the Wowhead Architect tool:
- An open sandbox Model Viewer – build a house to look exactly how you want it.
- Pick and place decor items – exactly like you would in game.
- Import your house – Move your decor around to where it looks best without doing permanent moves in game.
- Import a friends’ house – For inspiration or to see what items they used and how things are set up.
- Preview dyes – To see what color matches your room perfectly before committing gold to it.
- Save and Load – Want to take a break? Save and load your house at a later time to continue working on it.

We recently previewed Hippo’s house and we imported this into our Architect tool and have some preview screenshots below!

There are more features planned including:
- House Import Selection – Currently we only import the first house for a character, but characters can have multiple different houses! We will add support to choose which house to import for the character.
- Additional Customizations – Customizing walls, ceilings, and floors is also on our list. We want to match what you can do in-game as much as we can.
- Support for Live – Currently, Wowhead Architect is only available on our Midnight Beta database. We definitely want to support it on Live as soon as we can, so you can see the decor available in-game right now.
- UI/UX Enhancements – We’ll continue to polish this UI, fix any bugs or odd behaviors, and add things from in-game. For example, adding the tag support in the decor picker is on our list.
- In-Game Limits – Building a house in a sandbox is fun, but maybe you’re trying to plan your in-game build. We plan to add support for decor/room weight counters and limits, and importing your in-game acquired decor list, as an option.
