UPDATE: A new Discord quest is now available.
Playing WoW with Discord open for 15 minutes will reward Razeshi C. We’ll add this pet to our database as soon as possible.
This promotion ends March 15, 2026.

Midnight is officially live this week. There are new pets to collect, and changes to how wild pets in the expansion are obtained.
New Pets In Midnight
This expansion includes 60+ new pets to collect. Here’s a quick summary of what to expect:
- 22 wild pets
- 18 dropped pets
- 9 pets from vendors
- 7 pet quest rewards
- 4 achievement pets
- 1 profession pet
Check out Midnight pets!
There are a couple of pets listed in the Pet Journal that are still a mystery. Chillcrawler and Dundun currently don’t have a source listed, so we’ll have to wait and see if they’ll be collectible.
Also, the Support a Streamer Twitch promotion is still ongoing. This promotion ends March 26, 2026, so don’t delay in collecting Fishmonger May.
Wild Pet Changes In Midnight
As mentioned during Midnight Alpha, how players obtain new wild pets in Midnight will be different than previous expansions. [source]
Capturing a Midnight wild pet will simply require right clicking on it, throwing a crate, and then looting the captured pet directly into your bags. The battling mechanic for collecting new wild pets has been removed, however it still exists for all wild pets from previous expansions.
In addition to how players collect Midnight wild pets, these companions notably do not have the ability to battle. All 22 new wild pets are flagged as “peaceful” and do not have stats, abilities, and cannot be upgraded in quality or leveled up.
Many other pets found in Midnight are also non-combat, with less than 10 new pets retaining their ability to battle.
Midnight Pet Battling Content Missing
Many players noted the lack of any new Pet Battle content during Midnight Alpha, causing some concern whether or not this system will continue to be supported.
New Pet Battle WQs and trainers are usually available at the release of an expansion, but this content is currently nonexistent in Midnight.
A Blizzard forum post created by the creator of Xu-Fu’s Pet Guides regarding the future of Pet Battles has garnered over 1500 likes and almost 900 responses. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any official response from Blizzard.
It’s unclear what Blizzard’s plans are for Pet Battles, and the lack of communication is troubling. Will new content be released in a future Midnight patch? Is this activity being phased out? We’ll have to wait and see.
