How to Unlock Prey Nightmare Mode
Unlocking Prey’s Nightmare difficulty should be a priority for most players looking for the systems most powerful gear rewards albeit at a greater challenge. Fortunately, unlocking the new difficulty is fairly straightforward, but does come with few requirements:
- Reach Rank 4 in the Prey Journey
- Complete the unlock questline given by Astalor Bloodsworn starting with Garden Variety Sacrifices.
If you’re coming from Pre-Season, you’ll likely need to complete 4 Prey Hunts for Journey progress since it was previously capped at Rank 3. Once completed, return to Astalor Bloodsworn and pick up Garden Variety Sacrifices. Complete that and the followup The Sheep or the Wolf witnessing the continued effects of Anguish on the populace of Silvermoon.
Upon completion of the quests, return to Astalor Bloodsworn to unlock Nightmare difficulty. Your Prey map should now be updated with 4 Nightmare difficulty hunts.
