UPDATE: Three additional pets have popped up. Aquatic Clockwork Quacker, Classic Clockwork Quacker, and J’imothy.
We’ll add these to our database as soon as we can.

Datamined Pets
There were a number of datamined pets flagged as Trading Post pets. These included multiple versions of cats in various costumes such as Cat’Thuzad and Amewbisath (pictured below).

It’s possible a few of them will be available from future Trading Posts, but as with all things PTR that is subject to change. We’ll add these to our database once more information on them is released.
New Battling Achievements
There are two new Family Battler challenges to complete in this latest patch.
Similar to previous “Family” achievements, you’ll need a full team of max level battle pets of the same pet family to defeat each trainer in their respective expansions. Note that each trainer can only be battled once per day, which means it will take a minimum of 10 days to complete these achievements.
UPDATE: Family Battler of Outland currently cannot be completed due to an error in the achievement. It lists Gorma Asaan as one of the trainer objectives, however this NPC was never implemented. We’ll have to wait for Blizzard to address this issue.
UPDATE 2: Family Battler of Outland has been fixed as of August 14!
Mini-Pets In Player Housing
In Patch 12.1 players can place their mini-pets in and around their player houses as part of the decor. [source]

- Pet Beds allow players to show off their pets both in and outside their house.
- Players can place up to 100 beds inside and up to 25 beds outside. Once a bed is placed, players can select a pet to make its home there.
- Indoor pets can be set to either Stationary or Roaming while pets placed outdoors are only Stationary for the time being.
- A small number of pets are unavailable to be placed for a variety of reasons.
There are a few different options for placing pets, such as crates (pictured above), Cherished Pet’s Rug, and Paw Pal Bed. Mini-pets that players have selected to display will appear with their name as they appear in the Pet Journal (this includes renames). So if you want a tentacle loyal to Xal’atath roaming your house, be our guest!
