Currently, the social systems are limited to local and clan chat without a proper way to handle trading or group finding sources. Instead, players have resorted to using the officially sanctioned Diablo 4 discord “Sanctuary” for majority of the socialization which has recently hit the maximum user count discord allows of 500,000 members.
