A new boss beckons
With the rework, a new optional Boss enters the Infernal Hordes, the infamous Vizjerei, Bartuc. Bartuc will wield the Chaos Powers against the heroes of Sanctuary in a new thrilling fight. In order to engage Bartuc, each member of the party must spend Aether to summon him.
Upon defeating Bartuc, his rewards will appear on the ground and do not require opening a cache like the other rewards in the Infernal Hordes. Alongside the new optional boss, the regular Fel Council has leveled up, and one of the three bosses will be a designated speaker, receiving empowered spells and growing in difficulty.
New Enemies to Slay
In the Season of Chaos, new enemies will lead the onslaught from Hell, and the infernal Hordes are no exception. Featuring entirely new monster types never seen before in Diablo 4, the Chaos Monsters will pour forth from portals during your time in the Infernal Horde.
Defeating these otherworldly creatures will grant players with powerful shrine-like buffs for a short time, making these very lucrative kills.
New Difficulties Bring New Rewards
Alongside a number of changes to the offerings presented to players at the end of every wave, there’s an additional new system coming to Infernal Hordes, the Chaos Waves. These are semi-random waves will appear amongst regular offerings between waves. These waves will have significantly increased difficulty, but they also reward far more Aether than normal.
Dodge deadly projectiles, slay a mini-boss, hunt down new Aether Goblins, and more in the new Infernal Hordes! Alongside the new Chaos Waves, there has also been a significant rework of Offerings across the board, changing the effects, monster populations and balancing their rewards. In order to jump-start new Infernal Horde runs, an Offering is presented immediately upon entering, allowing you to shape the Infernal Hordes just the way you want.
