Initial datamining suggests that the majority of these items are from the Trading Post, which fits in with the September theme of “Dwarven Charm.” However, the presence of a new hints that perhaps we’d get a Dwarven questline in a future patch.
The four transmog tints are named Bronzebeard, The Speaker, Wildhammer, and Dark Iron – reflecting all aspects of Dwarven culture. There are two shoulder options for each transmog set (ie The Speaker’s Ceremonial Mantle and The Speaker’s Ritualistic Mantle), allowing players to customize if they want both shoulders, one, or none to have glowing jagged rock spikes.
But in an interesting twist, the four gryphon mounts reference Horde cultures, showing how gryphons are sacred to the Tauren, Highmountain, and Trolls. While we’ve seen mounts typically associated with one faction reference another, it’s usually in an adversarial capacity like Sentinel War Wolf, so it’s refreshing to see a different approach.
Mounts
Windmaster’s Battlesworn
“After fighting alongside the Skyhorn, their influence on the tactics and appearance of the gryphons cannot be denied.”
Akil’darah Windscarred
“While the Amani have long been considered enemies of the gryphons, the eagle loa is respected as one of the masters of the sky. Tribute must be paid to soar in her domain.”
Ohn’ahran Windborne
“Finding a gryphon favored by Ohn’ahra is something that must be recognized, and the riders are not afraid to turn to her followers for the correct tributes.”
Darkfeather Eclipse
“The Darkfeather Valley nesting grounds have not seen the eclipse breed of great eagle in generations. When the Skyhorn shaman saw a gryphon bearing the plumage, they knew the occasion must be marked.”
