Update on Story
English voices for Galactic Threads are ready to go! However, at the launch of 7.8, players using a French or German client will be able to play Galactic Threads with English voices and subtitles in their native language. As soon as we have an update on French and German recordings, we’ll share when players can expect these to be added!
Galactic Threads Storyline
After a recap of the story so far, we dove into the events that follow Desperate Defiance. While players have delivered a decisive blow to the Hidden Chain, tensions are running high after Mandalore Shae Vizla freed Darth Malgus from his prison. Players will join several allies as they seek answers to Shae’s betrayal, Darth Nul’s holocron, the Hidden Chain, and the looming threat of Darth Malgus.

Wreckage on Dantooine
A ship of unknown origin crashed into Dantooine’s surface. The damage from the crash caused the ship’s systems to behave erratically, infinitely expanding three of the biomes it was sustaining. With the multitude of flora and fauna that has spilled into the local area, Dantooine’s native environment has been irreparably changed.
The Crash Site Outpost is a new area on Dantooine that level 80 players can travel to and explore. Once there, the GSI researchers are more than happy to request assistance from players in studying and investigating the crash site.
In each area, players will see a number of Dynamic Encounters to complete. As players work through these encounters, they will notice that the respective biomes will level up. The more progress that is made, the faster the biomes will level while also unlocking new encounters. It is not only the encounters that will present challenges for players, but also the biomes themselves. Each zone features an environmental hazard that players must navigate.
Once the biomes are completely leveled, a Master Mode boss will await them. Players are encouraged to work together in groups of four to take on the Orbital Core. While this boss is intended to be challenge, the encounter will become easier over time as players make progress on a new Reputation track that will not only unlock new rewards but also helpful consumables that will give players an extra hand in navigating the encounters in the Crash Site Outpost.
Dantooine Dynamic Encounter Rewards
A plethora of rewards will be available for players to earn as they complete Dynamic Encounters and explore the Crash Site Outpost. Players will earn rewards such as armors, decorations, titles, mounts, and minipets and they can be obtain through a variety of ways. Rewards can be obtained through the following:
- Reputation Vendor
- Completing Encounters
- Killing enemies
- Drops from the boss
- Completing Achievements
- Other vendors
A highly anticipated and requested reward is a cozy homestead on Dantooine. Players who make progress through the Reputation track will unlock the Dantooine Stronghold itself, and additional room keys can be purchased from the Reputation Vendor. These keys will be made available over time as players reach higher statuses on the track. To completely unlock the Stronghold, players must reach maximum status.
PvP Season 9 “Gladiators of the Outer Rim/strong
The next PvP season will begin with 7.8 launch and will run for 16 weeks. New rewards can be earned once the season kicks off!

With a new season comes new Achievements. Below is a list of Achievements that will be available during the season and how complete them.

- Complete all Achievements while season is active
- Arena Advocator
- Complete [WEEKLY] Go Berserk! And/or [WEEKLY] Time for Pain! missions 12 times
- Finisher
- Reach Level 30 on the reward track
- All-Star Medalist
- Earn 2000 medals in the Arenas and/or Warzones during the season
- Warzone Warrior
- Complete [WEEKLY] The Spoils of War and/or [WEEKLY] Conspicuous Valor missions 12 times

Anniversary Rewards/Sales
SWTOR’s 14th year anniversary event will run from December 16 until January 6, 2026 alongside a 50% off Collections Unlock and Inspired By items sales. A new Mech Havoc Squad Droid minipet will also be available on the Anniversary vendor. A Double XP event will begin December 23 and will run until January 3, 2026.
