The Mountain To Climb
The first thing to understand before embarking on your journey to 300 is knowing the battle ahead. This is not for the faint of heart, and the EXP amount required is staggering. Reddit User WisdomX_307504 compiled the following chart last year to help visualize just how insane the requirements are:
Each label on this chart represents 10% of the total experience required. Reaching Paragon Level 243 means you are 1/10th of the way to the legendary 300. Reaching 298 means you’re only 90% of the way done. For those in the low 200s, you might only be 5% of the way to Paragon 300. No matter how you spin it, you will need to grind an immense amount to achieve this milestone, and you might want to reconsider if you wish to do it.
The Tools Available
If you still choose to proceed, here are the two primary methods for farming such a vast amount of experience. The first and undoubtedly most efficient way to farm your way to 300 is simply spamming the Pit. Run them as high as you can while still being able to clear in under 2 minutes. Speed is king here, and by running Pits, you’re trying to get as many runs in as possible to receive the completion experience at the end of a run.
As an alternative to spamming Pit runs, you can also consider farming Infernal Hordes. This is objectively worse for most end-game setups, but if you are unable to run high pit levels in under two minutes, or just need a change of pace, Infernal Hordes might be the solution! This does require a bit more setup, however, as the primary source of experience will be from killing the mobs within the Infernal Horde itself, which is a significant difference compared to the flat reward for completion from Pit runs.
Notably for Pit runs, because the majority of the experience comes from completing the end, experience buffs don’t work. This includes items such as incense, Elixirs, and the Mother’s Blessing Event. These experience buffs only affect experience gained from Monster Kills, meaning their usage in Pit spamming is limited. Infernal Hordes, on the other hand, requires that you have as many EXP buffs as possible to make the most efficient use of your time. Keep this in mind while you’re farming!
Regardless of how you choose to do it, there is one universal rule to follow: The Town Is Lava. You need to be as efficient with your time as possible, running as much content as likely to come close to the massive requirements for this feat, and standing around in town is not going to get you there. Good Luck, Wanderer, you’re going to need it.
