Timeless Isle Rare Loop Farm for Bronze and Threads MoP Remix

This farm became very popular in the last few days when Blizzard hotfixed most rares in the Timeless Isle to spawn every 20 minutes after they are defeated. With this, once you encounter a rare for the first time, you will know exactly when it will spawn again. Another change for Remix is that every Rare that spawns on the island is frozen in time for 60 seconds before it can be killed, giving players more chances to reach them.

Why are Rares a Good Farm Method?

To those unfamiliar with Rares in Mists of Pandaria, it is important to remember that, unlike in modern expansions like Shadowlands and Dragonflight, rares don’t have loot lockout in earlier expansions. This means you can kill them multiple times every day and receive the same loot every time.

For Remix, Blizzard has made every rare in Pandaria give 3 threads to your cloak every time you kill one of them, with Rares from Timeless Isle and Isle of Thunder giving six threads instead.

Getting Around the Timeless Isle

While you cannot fly around the Timeless Isle, there are many tools you can use to make traveling faster while on the Isle.

Meteor Chip

Meteor Chip is the Remix version of Falling Flame. This item will transform you into a meteor that will fling you quickly in the direction you’re facing. When doing this, you don’t have control over where you’re flying. This can be changed by either using a parasol toy like Delicate Jade Parasol or Delicate Silk Parasol, or using the Timeless Isle exclusive glider, Golden Glider, sold by Ku-Mo in the Celestial Court.

Alternatively, you can use the Blink Cogwheel gem to stop your momentum. Don’t forget to equip the Windweaver Tinker gem to gain immunity to fall damage!

Note that Meteor Chip isn’t sold by vendors in Remix, so you rely on RNG to obtain them from boxes or rares. Use them sparingly!

Faster Temporary Mounts

Another option when you’re already close to your target is to use faster mounts! These mounts are very handy but temporary, and each has its drawbacks.

The first is Tuft of Yak Fur; using it summons an incredibly fast Yak as a mount for you for 15 seconds and has virtually no cooldown. While this is the faster ground mount method in the game right now, Tuft of Yak Fur is unique and has three uses only, meaning, at best, you can only use it to travel 45s total.

Another option for a faster mount is Ash-Covered Horn. While not as fast as Tuft of Yak Fur, it is a toy, so no charges are attached. It lasts 20 seconds with a one-minute cooldown.
