Player Housing Overview Player Housing Interior Customization
We saw some examples of the possibilities inherent in the new system, from using bushes to create wall-trailing ivy to packing cozy rooms with barrel barstools, fireplaces, and all the food you can eat. One thing we saw, though, was some familiar objects – couches and loveseats from Undermine!
This got us thinking – what other models would we want to see from Undermine make their way into Player Housing? We took a look around the zone and found our favorite furniture, doodads, and accessories that we think would make perfect accessories in any player home: take a look!
Mechanical Signage
Any college student can tell you that road signs on the walls as decorations are a right of passage – so why not make use of other signs around Undermine? There’s plenty to choose from, whether you want static fruit motifs or mechanical grinning Goblin faces.
One of the big features debuted in the blog centered around being able to resize objects in your home and find creative uses for them – and the flashy, animated signage would be a great opportunity for creative uses (or just really funky wall art).
Giant Sinks
Anyone who’s had to deal with a small sink knows that sink size is a luxury. Having a giant basin sink is so useful for everything you can think of – particularly when you’ve got stubborn dishes that need to soak overnight.
These Goblin sinks are such a fun take on the traditional kitchen staple that they would be perfect to give players plenty of design options – maybe a rustic kitchen would make a good home for this model, or an old-school washroom!
Claw-foot Bathtubs
After a long day of adventuring, restoring the timeways, killing unfathomable horrors, and the occasional poop quest, nothing sounds better than kicking back and relaxing in a hot bath. Rubber ducky included, of course!
This Goblin engineering take on a claw-foot tub raises so many customization ideas, and the curtains add just the right touch. Any world-saving champion would feel right at home soothing their aches and pains in the warm water.
Bonsai Trees
While “plant life” isn’t the first thing that pops to mind when thinking about Undermine, the zone contains an absolutely shocking number of bonsai trees. These small plants are lovingly taken care of, and come in several color varieties – perfect for some greenery in small places!
They’re practically begging to be added to player housing to make use of the snapping and parenting features – having a small garden of bonsai trees in a quiet, reflective corner sounds like the perfect way to unwind after a long day of questing.
Mannequins
Last but not least, nestled into a small clothing shop in Undermine, was a model we can’t wait to see interpreted for player housing – mannequins! Sporting some robes to show off (and of course a Stylin’ Purple Hat for that Goblin flair), of course posed on top of boxes for those customers that might be a bit taller than the average in Undermine.
Players have been begging for ways to show off their cosmetics, whether they be weapon transmogs or armor. This would be a fantastic addition to any player housing home!
