WoW Classic Hardcore And Next Season Announced
The WoW Classic Hardcore growth that has been taking place for over a year now has reached a boiling point, a fully community based game mode has exploded on the Classic Era scene, breathing new life into Classic Era realms across all regions. Blizzard previously recognized the community with the Soul of Iron mechanic in WoW Classic’s first season, Season of Mastery.
Blizzard has just announced that they will be making official WoW Classic Hardcore realms, where players create one-life characters. Here is a quick break down of the details surrounding official Hardcore realms —
- WoW Classic Hardcore will be on PTR in several weeks and launching later this Summer
- If your one-life character dies, you will be able to continue playing as a Ghost, unable to resurrect.
- Blizzard will be adding a new duel mechanic, where players can choose to duel to the death, if they so desire. /makgora is the command
- Hardcore FRESH is going to be its own thing separate from the next WoW Classic Season. Blizzard will share more details later this year regarding the next Season…
Based on this announcement, it is probably a safe assumption that the encrypted 1.14.4 WoW Classic Build will be the Hardcore FRESH patch, and the 1.15 Build will be the next Season of WoW Classic. To watch the full announcement, check out the VOD on Sarthe’s Twitch Channel.
